Thermal Flow Converter
Convert heat transfer rate, volume flow, mass flow, and temperature difference for air, water, or custom media.
What does this converter do?
This tool uses
Q = rho * cp * Vdot * dT to convert HVAC and CFD boundary values.
It is useful when a heat load is known but the required volume flow, mass flow, or temperature difference is needed for a simulation setup.

Formula Reference
Q [W] = rho [kg/m3] * cp [J/kgK] * Vdot [m3/s] * dT [K]mass flow [kg/s] = rho * volume flow [m3/s]volume flow [m3/h] = volume flow [m3/s] * 3600Positive
dT means the outlet temperature is higher than the inlet temperature. Negative values can be used for cooling if the same sign convention is kept throughout the model.
